Omagh College

Designed as part of the Tyrone Colleges PPP bundle, Omagh College costing £20 million replaces the former Further Education College on the banks of the River Strule.

Overall there is approximately 15,000 sq m of varied accommodation in the four storey building ranging from engineering workshops and laboratories to hair and beauty salons and catering.

The central curved wing of the complex acts as a hub to the College and provides a vibrant double-height concourse linking all elements and offering easy public access from the bus station and the newly constructed bridge. Two four storey teaching wings separate the arts and science based subjects while the workshops are contained in a single storey building to the rear.

The building was designed to allow the existing College to function throughout the contract whilst sharing the same site. Site works were phased but the main building was occupied 27 months after the commencement of the works.
